Tattinger Prelude
Description
A premier non‑vintage cuvée from Taittinger, the Prélude Grands Crus is crafted exclusively from vineyards rated “Grand Cru” and combines 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir. Only the first‑press juices are used, and the wine is aged for more than five years in the house’s historic cellars, giving it both immediate elegance and serious ageing potential.
Visually, it presents a pale yellow hue with silver highlights and a very fine, persistent mousse. On the nose, mineral and chalky notes evolve into fresh green and floral fragrances — think elderflower— with a fine spicy cinnamon touch. The palate opens crisp and lively with citrus brightness, then rounds into white‑peach syrup richness and finishes long, smooth and expressive.
This is a champagne of refined structure and finesse—a brilliant choice for special occasions, quality gastronomy or for cellaring a few more years.
