Amarone della Valpolicella Classico “Punta di Villa” by Roberto Mazzi e Figli (2
Description
Crafted from hillside vines in Negrar, Veneto, this Amarone blends about 65% Corvina, 10% Corvinone, 20% Rondinella and 5% Molinara, grown on calcareous clay soils.
After harvest, the grapes are dried until January in well‑ventilated rooms, losing over 50% of their weight, then fermented and aged in French oak and bottle for extended maturation.
In the glass it shows a deep ruby‑garnet colour, with aromas of jammy black and red fruits, dried flowers, tobacco leaf and dark chocolate. The palate is rich, full‑bodied, velvety and complex, with fine structure and length.
Ideal for slow‑cooked game, mature cheeses or special occasions — a bold yet elegant expression of Amarone.
